May Day Celebrations - Statement for Chief Executive (2018)

GRIDCo Press

STATEMENT BY JONATHAN AMOAKO-BAAH, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF GHANA GRID     COMPANY LIMITED (GRIDCo) TO STAFF TO COMMEMORATE MAY DAY 2018

On the occasion of May Day, 2018, the Management of Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) send felicitations to our workers across the grid for your dedication and hard work resulting in the successes chalked by our Company.

This year’s national May Day rally would be held in Kumasi under the theme: “Sustainable Development Goals and Decent Work: the Role of Social Partners”.

I urge all Staff to make every effort to participate in rallies to commemorate the day.

GRIDCo Management has always seen the Divisional Union as a key partner in policy formulations and programmes, especially those that concern Welfare, Health and Safety of employees. This has always engendered the healthy industrial environment that prevails in the company resulting in increased productivity.

I request the continued cooperation and understanding of Staff in the affairs of GRIDCo as we make preparations to also celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of our incorporation. The spirit of our Core Values –Rise and Care- must always reflect in our relationship as Management and Staff. We must continue to hold hands and communicate in all our undertakings.

Let me once again wish you all a fruitful May Day; let us also find time to rest so that we can come back to work on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, well refreshed.

Happy Workers’ Day!

Jonathan Amoako-Baah
